Life happens. People grow apart. People take one another for granted. People lose touch, and despite their best intentions, don’t often say or show how they appreciate the people who care about them in their lives.
One of my best friends died this morning. I had just texted him last night. It’s normal to forget about someone who was once a huge part of your life when they’re isolated from you.
So I guess what I’m trying to say is, reach out again. A call or a text can mean so much.
Russell, you will be missed.

Sorry about the news mate. I’ve actually been reaching out to some people lately that were close high school friends.

I know exactly what you’re going through. My best friend killed himself on December 30th. It sucks, but you just gotta assume that they’re better off now. The best thing to do in their memory is remember the good times you shared.
